Exhibition time: May 28-30, 2024

Location: CTICC, Cape Town, South Africa

China Group Exhibition: Beijing Huashang Rio Tinto International Exhibition Co., LTD

Exhibition introduction:

As Africa’s first power power and the most economically developed country, South Africa’s electricity generation accounts for 60% of the whole of Africa, and is a member of the South African Electricity SAPP (South African Electricity SAPP) and a major power exporter in Africa, supplying electricity to Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and other neighboring countries. However, with the acceleration of domestic industrialization in recent years, South Africa’s electricity demand has increased, with a total demand of about 40,000 megawatts, while the national generating capacity is about 30,000 megawatts. To this end, in April 2011, the South African government specially allocated 10 billion US dollars to the South African power company ESKOM for the development of power utilities, especially the new energy market dominated by solar energy, and the construction of a comprehensive use of coal, natural gas, nuclear energy, solar, wind and water power generation production mechanism to ensure the supply of electricity in South Africa. For the continent as a whole, the annual investment in the electricity market is as high as $90 billion, and countries will invest up to $563 billion in electricity infrastructure by 2030. In this context, the 22nd Africa Power Energy Exhibition in 2024 will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from May 28 to 30, jointly organized by the South African Electricity Company (ESKOM) and the South African Department of Industry and Trade (DTI), will involve power generation, transmission and distribution, energy metering, new energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, water resources management and other fields. From 70 countries and regions, including Mozambique, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Nigeria, the Kingdom of Lesotho, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Israel, Botswana, the Republic of Malawi, Guinea, etc. It is also Africa’s leading exhibition in terms of duration, scale, level of participation (national energy ministers, power company presidents, ceos), and influence. This event consists of two parts: product exhibition and summit forum. The products cover the whole industrial chain of power and water, including power generation, solar energy, hydropower, wind power, meters, transmission and distribution, power customers (mining, electricity retailers, commerce, agriculture), water and other fields.
